Scottish country moving ranges from fast, exuberant reels and jigs to slower, elegant strathspeys. Dances are either in a line development with men and women dealing with each other along the area, or perhaps in squares, in which couples face inwards. Leading couples trace patterns around stationary performers, making use of both travelling and establishing tips. Patterns, or formations since they are also referred to as, include reels, sectors and grand stores. Scottish nation dance is reliant on enjoyable teamwork inside the set but solamente performance for dancing few is an attractive feature of many dances.
