Steve of Freedom Kilts comes the closest to performing the things I accustomed do-producing customized, one-at-at-a-time kilts with intense awareness of detail. Their craftsmanship is fantanstic, his kilts look great, and Steve is a fantastic man. Just what else do you need to understand? Freedom kilts are available in several solid color and camouflage fabrics.
Freedom Kilts is situated in Vancouver, Canada, so keep that in your mind once you look at the costs. The US buck price will likely be a bit reduced.
If you are wondering why a Canadian kilt organization is my first choose for an "American Kilt", have no fear. Steve is a U.S.M.C. veteran. He pees purple, white, and blue (or so I've been informed!)
The master of American Kilts, Rocky, is another great guy. He is enthusiastic about advertising kilts generally speaking, and gladly supports various other kilt producers.
USA Kilts works in classic Scottish tartans, but provides them in modern Poly Viscose or cotton-blend textiles (besides conventional wool kilts.)
I hear good things about the standard and craftsmanship of American kilts. This small company does custom work. Your kilt will likely to be made to order.
It is not small businesses, and you wont get custom work. But Utilikilts continues to have a great deal to recommend it:
- Utilikilts are a good, high quality kilt, with a rather big and loyal following. To put it one other way - Ten thousand happy clients can't be wrong!
- British's are probably many recognized, used, and accepted of all of the modern kilts.
- British's were the determination for most today's kilt wearer, including myself! They are from the forefront of promting the putting on of kilts.
