Junior bagpipes never been

The Rotary younger Musician local last occured by Kirkcudbright Rotary Club at Kirkcudbright Academy on Thursday evening 11 February 2016.

This event occured within the recently expanded Music Department at Academy before a panel of three judges, headed by Jamie Brand, Head of innovative and visual topics at Annan Academy, Sheila Scott recently retired instructor and spouse of Rotarian Gavin Scott, and Rebecca Hickman a musician and Academy class help Manager.

The Academy musical Teacher, skip Hannah Gill, had chosen seven students from junior school and nine from the high school to contend at this local stage the subject of Rotary Young Musician.

The audience of moms and dads, buddies and Rotarians had been treated to an evening of enjoyment, which unsealed with a rowsing performance of piping by Euan Donald and finished with an amazing rendition by flautist Kirsty McGonigle.

Jamie Brand in the wind-up speech said the judges were impressed because of the ‘astounding’ standard of overall performance and had a hard task seeking the order of champions. They awarded joint beginning within the junior competitors and joint many encouraging general. The entire number is really as follows:

Mention must needless to say be produced for the team Cluster Choir, attracted from training staff regarding the Academy and cluster of neighborhood major schools, which ably entertained through the pause between Junior and Senior competitions, led by Kate Picken.

As Jamie Brand stated this amount of skill will not happen by accident, its driven by the passion, determination and power of this music instructor skip Hannah Gill. The champion of senior competition Kirsty McGonigle is suitable for entry to the Rotary District 1020 SW region competition at Annan next Thursday 18 February 2016. Everyone wish her best of luck.
