Wearing their kilt, Forshner played bagpipes using band on the songs “The guys are Back, ’’ “Fields of Athenry” and “Worker’s tune.’’ He then played the whistle in the band’s biggest hit, “Shipping to Boston.’’
“It had been surreal, ’’ stated Forshner, a captain with Palm Beach County Fire save and a member of this Palm Beach County Firefighters Pipe and Drum musical organization.
“To keep an eye out into this massive audience in your home town ended up being quite intense.’’
It had beenn’t the 1st time he met the Dropkick Murphys. Forshner mingled using band in April in Watertown, Mass., after he played bagpipes during funerals for just two Boston firefighters have been killed battling a fire in March.
The band played benefit shows to boost cash for fallen firefighters’ families.
Forshner stated he knows people in the band “through a shared buddy. I’ve been to their particular shows before together with minor connection with them.’’
When the Dropkick Murphys registered to relax and play the very last day's Sunfest, “they permitted me to fool around with all of them, ’’ he stated.
